Fraud Awareness

Last updated: 1 January 2025

We take fraud seriously. This page explains how to identify fraudulent communications that misuse the GlobalShipping name, and what to do if you suspect you have been targeted.

1. How to identify genuine GlobalShipping communications

Genuine emails from GlobalShipping will:

  • Come only from addresses ending in @global-shipping.co.
  • Never ask you to provide payment card details, passwords, or PINs by email, SMS, or phone.
  • Never ask you to pay an unexpected customs or delivery fee by prepaid card, gift card, cryptocurrency, or wire transfer.
  • Link only to global-shipping.co (check the full URL carefully).

2. Common scam types

Phishing emails

Fraudsters send emails that mimic GlobalShipping branding, claiming your parcel is held and asking you to click a link and enter payment details to release it. Do not click such links. Check the sender address carefully — scammers often use look-alike domains such as "global-shipping.net" or "globalshipping-delivery.com".

Smishing (SMS phishing)

You may receive unsolicited SMS messages claiming a parcel cannot be delivered and asking you to pay a small re-delivery fee. GlobalShipping does not send unsolicited payment requests by SMS.

Vishing (voice phishing)

If you receive an unexpected phone call from someone claiming to be from GlobalShipping and asking for personal or financial information, hang up and contact us directly using the details on this page.

3. What to do if you suspect fraud

  • Do not click any links or provide any information.
  • Forward suspicious emails to security@global-shipping.co.
  • Report smishing/vishing to Action Fraud (UK) at actionfraud.police.uk or call 0300 123 2040.
  • If you have already provided card details, contact your bank immediately to block your card and dispute any unauthorised transactions.

4. Protecting yourself online

  • Only enter tracking numbers on global-shipping.co.
  • Look for the padlock icon and https:// in your browser's address bar.
  • Keep your device, browser, and security software up to date.
  • Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication where available.
